Elizabeth "Liz" Nagy, 36, is a respected member of the business community, active leader, community volunteer and advocate driving an impact within northeast Pennsylvania every day. She has worked hard to build a strong career and has excelled in doing so having already achieved executive and critical leadership roles and a high ceiling ahead of her.

Since November 2017, she has been serving as vice president, chief marketing and digital officer for the Honesdale National Bank. In that role, she oversees all bank marketing functions, cash management offerings, products and services and the bank's internal and external digital strategy to continuously improve upon the bank's customer experience levels and market position in an increasingly competitive landscape.

Prior to joining HNB, Nagy served as AVP, Marketing and Communications Manager at NBT Bank for seven years. She earned her Certified Financial Marketing Professional (CFMP) designation with the American Bankers Association in 2015. Before entering the world of banking, she worked as an account executive at a growing public relations firm in New York City serving as project lead for several global Fortune 500 consumer brands. She earned a Master of Science degree from S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University in 2007. In 2006, she graduated from Susquehanna University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in mass communications and German.

Nagy aims to not only make an impact on the local business community during the work day, but dedicates much of her free time to volunteer for a number of local community organizations. After moving to northeast Pennsylvania in 2010, she immediately joined the board for Dress for Success Lackawanna. She continues that term today and has also served as board president. The businesswoman serves on the board for Leadership Lackawanna and the board for the Greater Carbondale YMCA. She gives back to her industry through serving on the PR committee for the Pennsylvania Bankers Association. She is also a lector at the Queen of Angels parish in Jessup.

The young woman believes in the power of having a strong network for personal and professional development. She keeps close ties with colleagues throughout her career and takes her role as a manager to heart. She aims to be a strong mentor whenever possible or simply provides the flexibility, understanding and personal support to make sure her team and colleagues know that she believes in them and supports their individual roads to personal and professional achievement.

She is not only a top woman in the business community, but she is the top woman in her household in Jessup where she takes on her favorite role as "mom." She balances all she does for the business community with being the loving and dedicated mother of Ava, 3, and Benjamin, 1, and wife to Brandon. Being a working mom is no easy task, but she has set out to be a strong example for children to help them understand that they can achieve anything they put their mind to. She hopes they give back more to the world than they take.
