Lehigh Valley Health Network has been placed again on Forbes list of America’s Best Employers by State.
In Pennsylvania, the network ranks among the top 40 employers. It was the second straight year the health system received such recognition.
Forbes and Statista, a market research company, release rankings of best-in-state employers. The list was compiled based on independent surveys of some 80,000 employees working for businesses that employ at least 500 people. Surveys were conducted from October to May. Evaluation was based on two criteria:
• Direct recommendations: Employees were asked to rate their willingness to recommend their own employers to friends and family.
• Indirect recommendations: Participants were prompted to evaluate other employers in their region and respective industries that stand out either positively or negatively.
Lehigh Valley Health Network includes eight campuses, three in Allentown, one in Bethlehem, one in East Stroudsburg, one in Hazleton and two in Pottsville. Coordinated Health includes two hospital campuses, nearly two dozen multispecialty locations, including ambulatory surgery centers and orthopedic injury centers in Northeast Pennsylvania and western New Jersey; 26 health centers; and primary and specialty care physician practices.
