Allied Services, advocacy associations and service providers will joint with the Pennsylvania Assistive Technology Foundation to deliver Money Talks, a new webinar series devoted to financial training for people with disabilities.
The free webinars will provide useful information, tools and resources on financial matters for people with disabilities, their family members, advocates, educators and service providers.
Each month, Money Talks will include different topics with information and resources needed to handle unique financial issues affecting individuals with disabilities, including new matters resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic. The series may be helpful for people with a disability, a family member of someone who has a disability, advocates, educators and service providers. Each accessible webinar consists of 30 minutes of interactive learning and 15 minutes for questions.
The first webinar will be hosted on Sept. 16 from 1 p.m. To 1:45 p.m. Presenters from the Arc of Pennsylvania and Disability Rights Pennsylvania will lead a discussion on voting rights laws for people with disabilities, assistance with voting, polling places, mail-in and absentee ballots, new voter registrations, and what to do in case of problems before or on Election Day.
